We are looking for an exceptional manager to join our growing team of climate and carbon market analysts and developers based in Bengaluru. We are currently recruiting for someone to manage our Bengaluru-based carbon projects team. This 5-10 person team primarily spends their time reviewing registry documentation of carbon projects, extracting and collecting important data to do with those projects, and analysing their effectiveness.

Role & responsibilities will include:
You will take responsibility for leading and managing our Carbon Projects team, including their work on data collection, cleaning, and entry in relation to carbon credit projects and qualitative research / analysis on carbon projects. In addition, you will be asked to lead other ad-hoc tasks such as running web-scraping tools, maintaining important databases, checking internet sources for new announcements, monitoring key bodies (such as different carbon registries e.g.: Verra, Gold Standard etc.), preparing power point slides or charts, conducting Excel analysis, reconciliation and matching of different data sources and researching and tagging specific attributes. You will be line manager for a team of 5-10 analysts, and be responsible for, among other things, their task management, quality of their output, and their personal development / performance.
Qualifications and experience:
- 5+ years of experience
- Bachelors/Master/PhD degree with specialisation in Environmental Sciences/Sustainability
- Excellent written and verbal English skills
- Good people manager and team player
- Driven, diligent and organised personality; high attention to detail; ability to work independently
- Secondary research skills
- Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Powerpoint
- Preferred, but not required: experience in working with carbon projects / offsets
- Preferred, but not required: experience in creating and maintaining primary datasets in ESG field
- Preferred, but not required: experience working with SQL
- Passion for helping the private sector to tackle climate change
Location / travel: employees expected in person in office 4 days per week (with 1 day work from home). Little to no travel expected.
