Private Equity Fund – Trove Research was responsible for creating the investment strategy and pitch documentation for a new climate transition fund involving analyses of ten investment subsectors.
EDF Renewables – Trove Research CEO, Guy Turner, was seconded to for two years at EDF Renewables as Strategy and Analysis Manager in the London office. In this role he oversaw market and financial analysis underpinning investments in offshore wind, onshore wind, solar and battery storage, including detailed competitor analyses and an auction bidding strategy for offshore wind.
BP Economics – In 2017 Guy worked with the BP Economics team for 6 months where on the 2017 BP Energy Outlook analysing future energy demand across multiple sectors, including the built environment and developing countries.
Children’s Investment Fund Foundation – Review of Renewable Energy Policies in Mexico and India. For CIFF we undertook a detailed review of renewable energy policies and economics in India and Mexico to identify how these countries could accelerate the build out of renewable energy.
Renewable Energy Project Developer – Ireland Market Entry Strategy. In 2016 we undertook a strategic review of the Irish renewable energy market. This ultimately resulted in the client making significant investments in Ireland.
Sandbag – Cost of complying with European climate targets to 2030. This project involved a detailed analysis of abatement costs for all EU countries under the Effort Sharing Decision as part of the EU’s 2030 Climate Action Plan.
Green Investment Bank – Green Investment Data System. For the GIB we designed and implemented a process for capturing and reporting on the capital being invested in green infrastructure in the UK. This was used as an important reference point for the bank’s activities.
Global Gas Company – Global Carbon Market Analysis. We undertook at thorough review of the world’s active and potential carbon markets in California-Quebec, Australia, Kazakhstan and British Columbia. The analysis included price projections using fundamental abatement cost models.
