An Introduction to Trove’s Carbon Credit Integrity Assessments

An Introduction to Trove’s Carbon Credit Integrity Assessments

We are excited to launch our new Carbon Credit Integrity Assessment tool as a new module on the Trove Intelligence platform.  The tool assesses the integrity of over carbon 4,000 projects against some 50 criteria, and is the culmination of a year and half’s work by the Trove team, using over 400,000 data points and 20,000 project documents.

Our methodology has been developed by Trove experts, and builds on the work of independent initiatives such as the Carbon Credit Quality Initiative, and the IC-VCM’s Carbon Credit Principles which launched last week (see here).

The Trove Carbon Credit Integrity Assessment tool is unique in allowing users to:

  • Search for and compare carbon credit integrity assessments across over 4,000 projects in the market.
  • Assess projects across a wide range of risk types – including sustainable development impacts, legal / ethical risks (including financial crime, corruption, fraud and sanctions), as well as additionality, quantification and permanence.
  • Personalise the integrity assessments based on the criteria that are most important to you.
  • See the underlying metrics and methodology behind the assessments – based on an objective, robust and science-driven methodology combining project data, academic literature, geospatial analysis and other external data sources.

To find out more about our approach and hear the key findings from our inaugural State of Integrity report, please sign up to our webinar on April 18th at 15:00 GMT. Register in advance for this webinar here.

The Integrity Assessment module is a new service on the Trove Intelligence platform.  For a limited period of time, the module is available at a discounted price. For more information, please contact us here for a product demo or contact your account manager.
