Latest monthly report

- There was a notable decline in consensus in ‘Accounting and reporting’ last month, owing to disagreements about the effectiveness of proposed rules for mandatory climate-related disclosures.
- Most other areas saw small increases in the consensus this month.
- Regular readers should note that a new guidance area, ‘International cooperation’, has been added this month to provide greater depth to our analysis of the Public Policy domain.
July was a quiet month, and hence our consensus ratings in many areas remained relatively unchanged. However, the release for Core Carbon Principles by the ICVCM is a major development.
The governance & infrastructure area saw the greatest change in consensus; despite it decreasing, there were important positive developments, such as the start of implementation of the Paris Agreement’s Article 6.4 credit mechanism.
